I have been stimulated to write a little for myself this evening and in recent days.
On various topics, but the word: Advocacy, stands out for me. As a word and a thing, to be loved.
I am looking for inspiration you see, to develop my artistic practice and work in new ways and also in ways that illuminate what I do what I have done and what I intend to do with the work for the wider public. Or can I just mean: self-advocacy?
In recent years I done a bit of political advocacy and lobbying for mental-health and environmental issues also. Both avenues have faded now, but I still feel like I am creating to in a sense advocate for something, something outside of myself and in the space; something grand but also something small. I’ll keep you’s posted….
Onslaught, is another word which appeals to me at present. As if I have not heard the word before, I came across it today and though, yes, ‘Onslaught’ as a word and encapsulation of meaning: fierce and destructive attack – means a great deal.
Even how the word is composed, ‘On-slaught’, I wish I was good at poetry to write what I feel about that word!
Also, thoughts for the day; To be positive|productive|creative, what should one associated with?
I had to distinct thought years ago, about the word ‘associate’, and what it means for the individual. To associate with something, what does that mean, how do you reach that point. Is it through your’ senses alone is it through the mind, or is it imposed upon us – by/from the environment?
I stand alone and ‘out-there’ with regard to many things I have done Artistically, but you have to be happy to exist in this world, and to exist in the healthiest sense, I mean be creative!
On a separate note, perhaps for tomorrow why/how can some people even a great many people not to anything, remain passive, when they witness something; even if it should be loved?
New thoughts:
“NARRATIVE UNCERTAINTIES.
NARRATIVES…SPRING FROM THESE SETBACKS
THE FRAMEWORK, BUT NOT THE ESSENCE
JEWISH VIEWS OF JESUS, RANGING FROM…
EXCESSIVE FAITH AS A LIABILITY”¹ – Guardian.com
