Oil Painting (with impressions)

This evening, I had the rush of idea’s normally associated with creativity.

It’s been a while since I’ve painted so many little paintings in one go.

Inspired by some printmaking and recent BBC Documentaries on Civilisations, I chose to get painting again.

All paintings above have been created as ‘impressions’ made from one original abstract painting (not pictured).

The method for creating each piece came from imprinting blank canvas onto a freshly painted Artwork, made from Oil Paint.

The imprinted canvas was impressed upon the paint, producing the reverse image in abstract from the original Oil Painting, or indeed, by simply pressing my right hand upon the paint and transposing the paint on my palm of my hand onto a fresh canvas.
